STORY BEHIND LEATHEREEN
Back then in 2018, three entrepreneurs with versatile experiences in different field of corporate industry saw the potential in leather industry. Together they formed Bangladesh leathercrafts on the same year on 10 December at Hazaribagh with a view to provide high quality leather products. Since its establishment, it had been one of the country’s leading manufacturers and exporters of leather goods.
Two years after it’s initial success both in home and abroad, the three founders decided to establish a brand to serve the most sophisticated leather goods and to meet up the versatile taste of the elite. Thus leathereen was born on the 10th December 2020; on the 2nd anniversary of its parent company Bangladesh Leathercrafts. Since then through its sincere efforts and competitiveness, it has earned the trust of the customers as well as the fashion enthusiasts.
Md. Amenozzaman

Amenozzaman is the CEO and planner of ‘Bangladesh Leathercrafts’ Company.
He has established his career in marketing and sales. Since 1999, he has amassed tons of experience working with national and multinational companies.
His skill in the marketing field is very extensive and deep-rooted. Through his depth of knowledge of 22 years, he uplifted this company on a broader scale.
Md. Humayun Kabir Khan

- Profession: Ship Breaker
- Position: CAO at LEATHEREEN
MD. Humayun Kabir Khan is the CAO in the ‘Leathereen’ company.
Earlier, he was a shipbreaker in a Ship Breaking Company in 2002. Later in 2018, he joined ‘Bangladesh Leathercrafts.’ He is enthusiastic and committed to his work and has played a vital role in the company.
Deedar Hossain
- Position: COO at LEATHEREEN
Deedar Hossain is the COO of ‘Leathereen. He has been working on leather hides and goods since 2010. In these 12 years, he has worked with many renowned brands and has supplied leather goods to local and international clients.
As he is young, he relates to the new generation and can accomplish the desire for style in this fashion era.

HOW DO WE COLLECT LEATHER
We collect leather from well-known tanneries in Bangladesh like Apex Tannery Limited, RMM Leather Industries Ltd and Bay Tanneries Limited. The tanneries process the rawhide into leather which we use to make our products.
The leather type depends on customer demand and market availability. We may buy crust leather or full-finished leather. Crust means dried leather that has not been dyed yet. Full-finished leathers are dyed and dried after tanning.
WHY DO WE COLLECT CRUST LEATHER?
Full finished leathers can not always fulfil our expectations. Sometimes, our designers demand color choices for our valued customers. Therefore, we need to collect crust leather to get the unique features.
WE CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
While processing the leather, we do not use any harmful chemicals. Thus we ensure that our products will not harm human health or the ecosystem. We care for the animals and ecological balance.
QUALITY OF LEATHERS
Experts consider many factors when determining the quality of a piece of leather. The leather’s thickness, weight, and grain are all crucial factors. The tanning process, the type of animal the leather came from and how the leather was treated all play a role in the quality of the finished product.
Bangladeshi leather is of the highest quality in the world. The country has a long history of leather tanning and production. Its craftspeople are among the most skilled ones. Our leathers are usually made from cowhide, although other animals, such as buffalo and goat are also used.
The tanning process determines the final texture and color of the leather. Bangladeshi leather is typically tanned by using vegetable dyes which give it a rich, deep color. The leather is also often oiled and waxed to give it a softer feel and to make it more water-resistant.
The quality of Bangladeshi leather is evident in its durability and beauty. It is a high-quality product that will last many years with proper care.
ABOUT OUR WORKERS
The workers of our company are the backbone of our business. Without their perseverance and commitment, we wouldn’t be able to create the premium leather goods for which we are renowned.
They are skilled craftsmen who have been perfecting their trade for many years. There are even workers having 30 years of experience. They take pride in their work which shows in the finished product.
Currently, there are 30 permanent and contractual workers in our working space. The number may seem short, but we retain the capability of taking bulk orders.
